This afternoon, the House of Representatives voted 211-218 against an amendment proposed by Mark Souder, which would have prohibited federal funding for programs that distribute sterile needles or syringes for hypodermic injection of illegal substances.

Congress is on recess this week, but that doesn’t mean break time for us health care reform advocates. We must keep the pressure on our U.S. senators and representatives to ensure the needs of our HIV-positive community are met by health care reform.
