The Red Dress Party is a national event dedicated to creating awareness and visibility for the HIV/AIDS movement and raising funds for organizations that provide vital community services. Dress for the fight, end AIDS. The event will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 and will feature a live musical performance by Kristine W.

The Chicago AIDS Foundation Director of Government Relations, John Peller, testified at a recent hearing on healthcare reform by The Illinois Healthcare Reform Implementation Council in Springfield.   

AFC Vice President Laurie Wettstead rallies protesters in support of comprehensive health reform that benefits everyone, including non-profit employees whose coverage is put in jeopardy by Big Insurance profits.  See the video here.

AIDS organizations are highly encouraged to participate on a free webinar regarding H1N1 flu preparations for organizations serving people living with HIV/AIDS.  The session, hosted by federal officials, will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. CT.  The registration deadline is Friday, August 28.  Register online: www.aids.gov/webinars.
