Mapping Pathways helps to develop and nurture communities in understanding around the adoption of antiretroviral-based prevention strategies to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It provides data and reccomendations to policymakers, leaders and activists all around the communities.
Transactions Transgender Conference May 19th
You are invited to the Service Providers Council’s Transgender Conference to be held Thursday, May 19, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University Center, 525 S. State Street. The conference is entitled “TransActions”; its theme is “Increasing Access to Care.” The 2011 conference is organized by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago Service Providers’ Council (SPC) Prevention & Care Committees and the ad-hoc host committee.

AIDS Foundation of Chicago Appoints new President/CEO
In January, AFC must say good-bye to President/CEO Mark Ishaug who is stepping down to take the helm at AIDS United, a new Washington, DC-based national organizations formed as a result of a merger between the National AIDS Fund and AIDS Action.
The entire AFC Board and staff thank Mark for his incredible 20-year service to the organization, including 12 years as President/CEO. Under his leadership, the scope and reach of AFC has greatly expanded, allowing AFC to reach tens of thousands of people each year with HIV prevention, care, awareness, and advocacy programs.
Without missing a beat, the Board of Directors announced the appointment of Vice President David Ernesto Munar as AFC’s next President/CEO, effective February 1, 2011.
