The clock is ticking on health care reform.  Leaders in the U.S.

The Chicago City Council passed an ordinance last week establishing a buffer zone outside all medical facilities to protect health care workers, volunteers, and patients from harassment and obstruction.

Health care reform will fundamentally transform and enhance our ability to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS. Simply put, health care reform will fight AIDS, and NOW is a critical moment when we need the voices of the HIV/AIDS community to be heard.

Chicago Tribune Letter to the Editor

During the debate on health reform in Washington, much as has been made of the need to "bend the curve"--to significantly and permanently reduce the seemly unstoppable growth in health care costs ("Centrist plan on table," News, Sept. 17).

Ted Kennedy wrote a personal, touching article for Newsweek last month on the need for health care reform that needs to be highlighted. We all mourn the loss of Sen. Kennedy, but should remember how we can honor his life and his dreams for this country.

The move to reform health care in the United States must ensure that everyone living with HIV benefits from early and reliable access to lifesaving care and treatment.
