World AIDS Day: 5 Things You Can Do
December 1st will mark World AIDS Day, an occasion to raise awareness, honor those who have died and inspire action against AIDS.
Here are five things you can do in the spirit of World AIDS Day:
1. Read about the latest scientific breakthroughs that are moving us closer to a world without AIDS.
2. Advocate for sound and compassionate HIV/AIDS policies here in Illinois by joining our Statewide Advocacy Network.
3. Educate yourself and others about the state of HIV/AIDS today.
4. Request information about the TEAM TO END AIDS endurance training program. Consider training to complete a marathon, half marathon, triathlon, or a 100-mile bike ride from Chicago to Milwaukee while raising money for the fight against AIDS.
5. Remember those we’ve lost to AIDS and those who are living with hope.

NEW YORK (December 1)--For those of you who know me, I am about to say something shocking. I miss George W. Bush. Well, not really. He was a terrible President in so many ways. However, he was exceptional in one. The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, despite its flaws, saved millions of lives around the world.
Today is World AIDS Day
Each year, World AIDS Day is commemorated around the globe on December 1. Together we celebrate the medical and social progress and bring into focus remaining challenges ahead.
