Action Out Loud! Youth Activist Training Camp

Apply now for Action Out Loud! Hosted by the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health, Action Out Loud! is a weeklong, daytime youth advocacy training camp in downtown Chicago designed for youth ages 14-20. Participants receive in-depth trainings on sexual and reproductive health, young parent, and social justice issues. In addition, youth participate in skill-building workshops on organizing, message development, public speaking, youth-adult partnerships, power dynamics, media relations, and more. With help from experienced adults and youth leaders, attendees use what they’ve learned to develop their own plans for action.

Action Out Loud! will be held August 3-7, 2009 in the Chicago Loop. The camp is free to all participants. Breakfast, lunch, and materials will be provided. Application deadline is July 10, 2009. Apply today!
