Volunteer for Health Care Reform at AFC

As AFC has stated, it cannot be emphasized enough how transformative comprehensive health care reform will be in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

The Public Option – the Comeback Kid of Health Care Reform, 2009. Citing intense pressure from liberal democrats, Senate leader Harry Reid indicated that he is leaning towards keeping the public option in the final Senate bill, which he is drawing up in the coming weeks. We can make this a reality.

As the Senate Whip, our very own Sen. Durbin has the power to tip the balance. We must continue to pressure Sen. Durbin to push for a strong public option!

Please volunteer for our phone bank on Wednesday, October 28th from 5:30-8:30pm as we continue to urge Illinoisans to call Sen. Durbin in support of a public option. It’s fun, easy, and you get free pizza! Even if you can only make it for an hour or two, please RSVP to come.
