Help Us Design a Mural

The AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) is working with artists, business owners and community organizations to create an AIDS awareness mural in Austin, a neighborhood disproportionately impacted by HIV.  

The mural project was inspired by WithMeComesACure.org, a citywide public awareness campaign designed primarily to reach African Americans.

The 15’ x 30’ mural will be located at 5840 W. Chicago, near the Sankofa Cultural Arts and Business Center. Austin residents will help design the mural over the course of two community forums. AFC and its partners plan to begin work on the mural in August and expect the project to take two weeks to complete.
