Positive Women's Network seeking applicants for national Steering Committee

By Bex - Posted on 10 February 2009

The Positive Women's Network (PWN), a project of WORLD (Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Disease), is a national membership body of HIV-positive women, inclusive of transgender women, created in June 2008 to strengthen the collective power of women living with HIV in the U.S. to create and demand policies and programs that fit the realities of our lives as women living with HIV.

PWN is currently seeking applicants for its national Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is the national leadership body of the PWN and will consist of 10 to 12 HIV-positive women leaders, including transgender women, from throughout the U.S who reflect the diversity and urgency of the U.S. HIV epidemic among women.

Steering Committee application and details on how to apply can be found at womenhiv.org/files/PWN-USASteeringApp2-6-09.pdf. Additional information, including downloadable copies of the Application, is available at: www.womenhiv.org/positivewomen. The deadline to apply is: March 2, 2009. Please direct questions to: Naina Khanna, PWN Coordinator: pwn@womenhiv.org
