Mass Convergence at the Thompson Center!

11:00-12:30pm   The Thompson Center has become the rallying point of the campaign.  Join organizations from across the city to rally on the last day before the budget cuts hit.  We’ll be sending the message loud and clear that General Assembly leadership needs to stop playing numbers games with people’s lives!  Come out and tell the message strong that a temporary fix is no solution!

Illinois legislative leadership believes that borrowing $2.2 billion to fund pensions solves our budget deficit of $12.4 billion?  What kind of fuzzy math is that?

Massive cuts to services will hit on July 1st unless Springfield takes immediate action.  Come out and demand that legislative leaders pass a budget that enhances revenue and protects essential services, and stop playing politics with human lives!
