Speak Truth to Power: What do YOU think about the Cook County Health Plan?

By John Peller - Posted on 16 October 2009

Should the Cook County Health & Hospital System close two hospitals, Provident and Oak Forest, and convert them into outpatient clinics?  Should they close neighborhood clinics in favor of regional hubs?

The Cook County Board Health & Hospital System Board is making those and other recommendations in its three-year strategic plan released October 14.

Board members want to know what you think.  Educate yourself by reading the plan overview, then attend one of the hearings listed below and testify.

The Cook County Health & Hospital System houses the CORE Center, the largest provider of HIV/AIDS care in Chicago and the Midwest.
