Speak Truth to Power: What do YOU think about the Cook County Health Plan?
Should the Cook County Health & Hospital System close two hospitals, Provident and Oak Forest, and convert them into outpatient clinics? Should they close neighborhood clinics in favor of regional hubs?
The Cook County Board Health & Hospital System Board is making those and other recommendations in its three-year strategic plan released October 14.
Board members want to know what you think. Educate yourself by reading the plan overview, then attend one of the hearings listed below and testify.
The Cook County Health & Hospital System houses the CORE Center, the largest provider of HIV/AIDS care in Chicago and the Midwest.

Community Town Hall Meeting
The Cook County Health and Hospitals System will hold a second series of public Town Hall meetings to present the System’s plan for the future of healthcare in the county. This series of meetings will focus on sharing information gathered during the first series of community meetings. The meetings will be held at sites throughout the County in order to get the largest participation possible.
All meetings begin at 6:00 p.m.
