Dr. Will Wong, Medical Director of the Division of STI/HIV/AIDS at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a statement about swine flu and HIV.
“…At this point, there are not any specific precautions or recommendations for persons living with HIV to guard against swine flu. We are following this situation very closely, and will provide updates as they become available. There are a number of precautions that are recommended that prevent seasonal influenza that is relevant to this current situation.”
