Want cheaper heath insurance? Move to the suburbs.

By John Peller - Posted on 06 November 2009

The Chicago Sun-Times reported this week that residents of the Chicago suburbs can save 14-25% on health insurance, compared to Chicago residents

Fair?  No.  Legal?  Yes. It's Illinois, which has some of the nation's least consumer-friendly insurance laws.

So what will the health reform bills moving through Congress do to fix geographic pricing disparaties?  For once, AIDSConnect doesn't have the answer.  Our brilliant friends over at Kaiser Family Foundation didn't get to that level of detail in their wonderful side-by-side.  So we're going to have to get back to y'all.  Check back hourly.

But AIDSConnect does knows this for sure: Health reform will end some of the madness that exists now in the individual health insurance market, including charging women more than men, allowing insurers to deny coverage because of pre-existing conditions, and charging older people far more than younger consumers.

With the healthcare debate in full swing, I find it odd that some Democrat and Republican lawmakers are pondering about not signing the Healthcare Bill over "Abortion" provisions. The civil/class action that we filed (see attachment: "COMPLAINT CV-09-5011") details how Planned Parenthood received millions of tax dollars over a 20-year span from the federal government.

Additionally, these public funds should have been denied for appropriations by Congress (if they would have did their homework and researched history) due to the fact that Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, established this organization on her deep belief, principles and philosophy of "Racist Eugenics".  In other words, our tax dollars have already funded abortion programs and organizations who have for decades targeted citizens from resource poor communities without these same legislator's objections; so why all the fuss now?

When I hear or see these same “Hypocrites” truly speak out against abortion organizations such as Planned Parenthood (who has already exploited hard earned tax dollars for what some conservative and moderates have referred to as "deplorable” acts), then I will be convinced that they aren't grandstanding as a result of being paid off by special interest groups that make money off the suffering and death of Americans who are denied access to credible and affordable healthcare- which is truly this Country's "3AM wake up call!"  Are these politicians snoring in the middle of the night with no concern about this hot button issue or are they worried about being tardy for the next tea party scheduled on their calendar of events?

Thus the reason why the goal and objective of TNAG~USA is to reform public health in America through social justice! Prayerfully, TNAG~USA ("We The People") vs. Planned Parenthood, City of Philadelphia Dept. of Public Health, Public Health Management Corporation and CDC will be to Alexander vs. Sandoval, what Brown vs. The Board of Education was to Plessy vs. Ferguson!

Public Health in America is "NOT" a viable "public option"!

Sincerely,

TNAG
