Health Educator
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish). Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
Bachelor's degree in social services, health education, public health or related field and one year of community health education experience OR high school diploma and two years in community health or comparable experience.
Thorough knowledge of HIV/AIDS and STI, modes of transmission, prevention, and influential factors in health behavior.
Knowledge of the social, health, and political barriers faced by Latino gay, bisexual, and transgender community due to sexual orientation, HIV status and/or ethnic background.
Strong committment to teamwork. Must be detailed-oriented and have great organizational skills.
Clear commitment and cultural sensitivity for serving Latino men who have sex with other men who may or may not be living with HIV/AIDS.
